Few days suffering from this error : "Wndows connot connect to event notification service"
to resolve that :
1. Reboot your computer into Safe Mode (with Networking).
2. Open regedit and delete the following two keys and all their subs:
HKLM/System/CurrentControlSet/Services/Winsock
HKLM/System/CurrentControlSet/Services/Winsock2
3. Reboot your computer again and let it start up normally (non-safe mode).
